Short and sweet

Best thing happened tonight – I’m working a concert series across Western Canada, and this gentleman comes up to the kiosk I’m working at tonight. He hands us a $10 bill, and says that Sir John A MacDonald, the first Prime Minister of Canada, is featured. He proceeds to tell us that apparently he is a descendant of the former PM.

Subject of tonight’s post

So, me being me, pipe up and say that he needs to make sure that he votes on Election Day – October 19. He proceeds to tell me that not many people know it, but you can actually vote now. He apparently tried to go and vote last week. The he asked me if I had voted yet (which I’m sure he expected the answer to be no) and I could say yes.

Point being, it Just goes to show that the conversations you have with people are important. You never know what kind of impression you’ll make.
