As we get closer to Election Day, my days get longer and longer. I spent most of the day at the campaign office, helping with volunteer sign-ups, setting up tonight’s canvass, and the ever-growing list of social media tasks.
Door knocking is the most important task on a campaign (as I’ve mentioned that before) and something happened today which reinforced that. We had a volunteer come to sign up simply because our team had knocked on his door an hour earlier. He told me he wouldn’t have come in otherwise, but now he’s committed to two days a week until E-Day. That right there is the power of our volunteers.
We also managed to finalize the details today for the upcoming fundraiser on September 24. I’m looking forward to this fundraiser as you can never go wrong with yummy Greek food. I’ve attached the invite below; if you’d like to attend, feel free to contact the campaign office anytime.
And finally, it’s time for me to head home before starting it all over again tomorrow. My internet has decided to slow down, so I’m going to take that as a sign. However, the #hopeandhardwork continues tomorrow. E-35 – we’re almost there!
